Dr. Yount and his team believe that dental care is an essential part of your health and that nothing should stand in the way of receiving the services you need.
We are in network for many insurance plans, including Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, Cigna, United Concordia, and Aetna. At the time of service, we will estimate the amount of your benefit, and you will pay for the portion of our fee which is not covered. You can make your payment with cash, a check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
We also accept assignment of benefits, which means we will file your insurance forms for you, and your company will pay us. Once we receive your benefits, we will reconcile your account.
We also offer several payment options, including no-interest plans with CareCredit. In addition you may be eligible for a discount if you pay in full at the time of your treatment. And finally, we have an in-house dental plan for patients who don’t have insurance. Please ask for details. We will be happy to help you find the best payment options for you.
Missed or Late Appointment Policy
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call us at least 48 hours before your scheduled time to let us know. You can call and leave a message any time, including evenings and weekends. If you fail to do so, you will be required to pay a $25.00 missed-appointment fee before we can reschedule your treatment.
If you are late to an appointment by 15 minutes, you may be asked to reschedule, depending on your doctor’s availability for that day, in which case you will also be required to pay the $25.00 fee. This fee is not covered by insurance, and the money is donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
If you miss three scheduled appointments without 48-hour notice in a year, we reserve the right not to reschedule your treatment.
Financial Policies in Full
Your insurance is a contract between you, your employer, and the insurance company. We are not a party to that contract. We will do our best to estimate the amount of your insurance benefit and the amount for which you will be responsible, but we cannot guarantee any insurance benefits.
In order to schedule a restorative appointment, we require 50 percent of the total patient out-of-pocket expense as a deposit along with a signed financial agreement.
Not all services are covered benefits in all contracts. Some insurance companies arbitrarily select certain services they will not cover. It must be understood that the ultimate responsibility for payment for any services rests with the responsible party for each account.
Unpaid balances extending 90 days are subject to a finance charge of 1.5 percent monthly, which is an annual rate of 18 percent. Therefore, we ask you to contact your insurance company or our office if you have not received notice of payment within 60 days of the date you receive services.
As a condition of treatment, the patient and/or responsible party understand and agree to the following:
– To pay all payments when due and to promptly pay any late fees.
– To notify us in a timely manner if you have a problem making a payment.
– Treatment may be discontinued if you fail to pay or fail to pay in a timely manner.
If you have any questions regarding our financial or appointment policies, please do not hesitate to ask.
